Instructions & common questions

How to use

  1. Select the encoding and delimiter when a CSV shows garbled text or incorrect columns.
  2. Choose the correct Excel worksheet and confirm headers, dates, quantities, and cached formula results.
  3. Treat this as a structural preview; make business edits in your spreadsheet application before importing.

Common uses

  • Diagnose garbled Chinese supplier CSV files before opening or importing them.
  • Check comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe delimiters when marketplace columns appear shifted.
  • Preview product catalogs, inventory exports, and order spreadsheets before mapping fields.
  • Confirm the correct Excel worksheet and headers before a bulk ecommerce import.

Questions & limits

How can I check which delimiter a CSV file uses?

Choose Auto to let the checker detect comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe separators. If the preview still shows one long column or shifted data, select the delimiter manually and refresh the preview.

Can this tool fix garbled Chinese CSV text?

It can preview common UTF-8, GB18030, and Big5 encodings so you can identify the correct setting. It does not rewrite the source file; save a corrected copy in your spreadsheet application after confirming the encoding.

Are product and order files uploaded?

No. The selected CSV and Excel files are read in your current browser session. This tool does not upload the file contents to the Kindiv server.

Does the Excel preview recalculate formulas?

No. It displays cached formula results stored in the workbook. Open the file in Excel or another spreadsheet application when formulas need to be recalculated.
